Consolidated Projects - possible?

Jeff Weinberg

I'm fairly new at this, and have been asked to participate in a
proof-of-concept. Is there a way in MS Project with MS Project Server 2003
to consolidate multiple projects for reporting purposes? In the system we
are using now (NIKU/ABT), you can load multiple projects into one "Master
Project" view, and then run reports on that one view. This is really handy
when dealing with requests for actuals spanning multiple project plans. I
don't think the MS Project master project will meet my needs. If this is
possible, can you refer me to some on-line documentation? I would
appreciate it.

Thanks.

Hi,

In any project, select insert project to create a master. If you want
resource data consolidated you must also have a resource pool.

If you have Project 2002 Professional and Project Server, then Project
Server will do almost all your multi-project reporting for you.
