constrain Portfoli-Views

Hi..

is it possible to constrain the users use/change the Portfolio-views?
For examle :
1) the Projectmanager should analyse just own Projects.
2) they should not reach all of the fields in the fieldlist

While Portfolio Analyzer offers some modest capabilities to lock down certain
aspects of a particular view, it does not, to my knowledge, allow any rules
based permissions management such as you seem to want.

So, my answers to your specific questions would be:
1) Not really

Hi,

I agree with Reid that you cannot generally lock out users from exploring
the full range of data within the OLAP cube.

It possible however to create virtual cubes, with a cut down selection of
fields and permissions. This has to be done on the Analysis Server directly.
I am not aware of any rules that you could enforce like the category
permissions for Project Managers only viewing their own plans that you could
enforce in a virtual cube.
