I am using Project 2003, and I have posted about my distributed databases
before. Here is my problem. I am trying to bring the values from the
distributed databases back into the master. After the update process, when I
go into the tables by opening the file in Access, I can see the correct value
of four in my constraint type (Start no earlier than) and a long string in
EXT_EDIT_REF_DATA, as I expect. Then open the same file in MS project, and
the constraint type is now FINISH NO EARLIER THAN. If I save the file
through project, the value in the database table changes to 6.
Why does this happen? The constraint date does not change, but the
constraint type changes, so the task start changes, the assignments start and
work changes, and therefore total work changes.
