contact cannot open email sent from outlook

Working in outlook 2003. If I send an email with or without attachments my
recipient cannot open or read. What settings do I change if any?

Make sure your default message format is either HTML or Plain Text. If you
use the "Rich Text" format, The ONLY email client that will be able to open
the email without a problem is Outlook; Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape
and ALL other email clients will be unable to open it correctly.
