Contact categories

Melissa Frankel

We received new computers and a user now does not have the self-created
contact categories he used before. We are (and were) using Outlook 2003. We
still have the old computer available. Any way to move the Master Category
List from the old PC to the new one?

The categoies are stored in the registry on the old computer. You might run
regedit on that computer, navigate to

HKey_CurrentUser/Software/Microsoft/Office/11.0/Outlook/Categories

and export that key. The resulting *.reg file can be imported on the new
system.
