Contact Flags not working

Outlook 2000
Windows 2000
I use the Flags in Contacts to remind me of 'to do's and
calls. It is how I get most things done. The problem is,
now the flags are no longer popping up, and some contacts
are even showing very old pop up dates, which I didn't set.
Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?
