Contact folder generating errors and closing Outlook 2000

A user in my office has set up several folders in contacts. One folder is
causing a problem. When she creates a new mail message and trys to select a
contact from this folder she gets a message saying Outlook.exe has generated
errors and will be closed. The contacts at the top of the folder work ok,
it's when she scrolls down toward the bottom of the list when this happens.
We have tried to delete a couple of the entries that we thought might be
causing the problem but it still happens. Her pc has W2K o/s. Any thoughts
or suggestions are appreciated?

This is a very common problem. Microsoft claims they cannot reproduce it and
have no solutions, but it is posted time and time again here. A few users
have indicated that finding and recreating a corrupt Contact Record will fix
it. Other potential solutions include repairing the information store with
the Inbox Repair Tool, removing and re-adding the Outlook Address Book
Service, and updating video drivers.
Good luck.

Thank you Russ. I'll give it a try.
