Contact in the task form - validation against an address book

I use Outlook XP. I have a contacts folder and an offline copy of the
company address book.

I create a task and then write a contact in the task form. The contact
is validated (ctrl-K) only against the contact folder and not against
the address book.

Any idea how to validate againts both?

Thanks

What format is the offline company address book in? It would need to be
added as a contacts folder and then that folder would have to be designated
as an Outlook Address Book.

The only place where I see the offline company address book is when
doing Tools/Address Book/Show Names from "Offline..."
I do not know neither where this file(s) is(are), nor its format nor
the way to transform it into a contact folder.

Any ideas?

Thanks

OK, I must have misread your original post...I didn't realize you were
talking about the Offline Address Book that's generated by Exchange Server.
(I am not in an Exchange environment myself, so please forgive my ignorance
<g>)

I found the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base...see if it
helps:
