Contact list

Hi everyone!
I am writing from the office, my boss just gave me a task to see what
is wrong with our outlook express.
When I go to 'New' and click on 'To', the contacts will pop up. So far
so good, but when I drop down and look at the adress book I have two
contact lists, one empty. I want to delete this one, but I don't know
how, I don't even how it got there in the first place. Would be
greatful for some help :)
Thanks,
Tali

That is not Outlook Express.
Post the correct version of the software you are using.

Well all I know is that it is called Outlook Express..
my boss told me they installed Office 2000 with this version of Outloo
being on it.
I know it's very different, that's why I am having a hard time figurin
anything out with this programm, but it is Outlook

Look in Help | About to see your version.
This is Outlook, not Outlook Express, but we need to know which version you
are using to be able to answer your question.

I have seen that many times. What happens is that you at one time had a .pst
file, and you had specified that the contacts in that pst file would be an
address book. Now, you are not loading up that pst file anymore, but the
link is still there. The only way I have fould to fix it was to reattach the
original pst file and turn off address book for the contacts folder, the
detach it. Now, if you can't find the original pst file, I don't know how to
fix it!

Not necessary. All you have to do is remove the invalid reference here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.
