Contact Lookup by phone number problem

Hi all,

I have a need to lookup a contact record in an Outlook add-in using a
phone number from a Caller ID service.

I know how to use the Find and Restrict methods in the Outlook OOM,
but Outlook seems to store the phone numbers in the following format:

(xxx) yyy-zzzz

and the number I get from the CID service is unformatted:

xxxyyzzzz

Is there any way to lookup contacts effectively using Find or Restrict
without reformatting the CID number?

No, the numbers are stored formatted internally so you have to match things
up. In addition if the number is stored in canonical format you have to take
that into account (+1 for US numbers as the country code for example).
