Contact Sub Folders

I have just started a new job. I have outlook 2002. Under
the contacts folder there are about 10 subfolders. I am
unable to select to send anyone messages from these
submenus also I cannot make a distribution list from
these folders. I also cannot copy the info from the
subfolders to the parent contact folder?

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I would suspect you have not yet enabled these folders as email address
books.
Hint: look in the Properties of each Folder.
