Contact telephone number format

I've upgraded from 2000 to 2002. When I used to enter telephone numbers for
a contact - I'd enter them unformatted and when I tabbed to the next field
it automatically added the ( ) and - Now in 2002 when I do the same it
doesn't reformat it. Is this another nice feature that was removed? Is
there a way that I can add a mask or set an option? Don't want to customize
a form and use VB Script...

The phone number will be masked automatically if your dialing location is
set correctly.
