Contacts - Activity- Pick up archive information with current info

When selecting the ACTIVITY tab in CONTACTS you get a listing of all the
emails sent to the contact but not any email activity that is in Archive
Folders. How can I access the archived email activity for a particular
contact? I want to make sure tha I don't send this contact the same
attachment email I sent to them last year.
