Contacts and address book inporting

Dell Computer lost its HD – Actually it is going bad quickly, so I do have
the ability to still get data off of it.
Have reloaded XP Pro and Office 2003 – Have downloaded and installed all the
updates available from MS website.
Have copied my email.pst file to the docs..settings/…./microsoft/outlook
folder and have all my emails back.
I exported my contacts folder per help instructions and have imported them
back into the new setup. They are visable when I select contacts right below
my calender button on the left side of Outlook.
If I try to look at my address book, I get the following message – “The
address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated with
this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or
you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder
from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Outlook Helpâ€.

How do I fix this??

Forgot - Got a new HD from Dell and am in the process of getting my computer

Then there was no need to do the following.

What "help" instructions? Why do you think you would even need to do that?
How did you "get all your emails back"?>

That's exactly what you get by performing a completely unnecessary "import
and export". Five minutes browsing in this group would have told you the
correct way to do this.
