Contacts are different at work

When I want to send an e-mail at work to someone who has e-mailed me
in the past, all I have to do is key in the first few letters of their
name and their e-mail address comes into the send line. How do I set
my home computer to do the same thing?

What version of Outlook do you have at home? Also, do you mean you want the
same type-ahead list?

The suggested names list is dependant on the version of outlook. You need
to have the same or newer version of Outlook at home.
