contacts as address book

I just migrated outlook settings to a new XP-based
computer (from 98). MY outlook opens with my old
contacts and mail folders intact. But when I compose a
new message and type the name of a contact in the ``to''
field, outlook doesn't recognize it and doesn't complete
the address [where previously outlook would automatically
fill in the email address (or tell me there was a
conflict if, for example, I had typed ``john'' and there
were 3 johns and a johnson in my contacts).]

How can I get outlook to use my contacts folder to search
for email addresses when I type the name of a contact in
the ``to'' field?

Thanks.

just to clarify a few things from my original query:

I'm using Outlook 2002 and migrated the settings from
Outlook 2000 using the Detto's Intellimover. My new
computer does have my old Contacts list and all my old
email, but when I compose a message to someone in my
Contacts list, the program does not automatically find
the email address.

Also: when I open Outlook, I get asked for my network
password each time. Is there a way to have XP or Outlook
remember and not ask me?

Thanks.
