Contacts Country/Region listed as "None"

Ludwig

I'm running Outlook 2003. Two questions for this one ...

a) How do I change all my contacts (well, 99% of them) to New Zealand?

b) How do I change the default from "none" to New Zealand for any new
contacts created?

Currently all except those I change manually are set to "None", and actually
navigating to a place I can change that field is messy. I have to -
1. open each contact in turn;
2. go to"All Fields" tab;
3. change the "Select From" to "All Contact fields";
4. scroll down to Country/Region field;
5. Enter the new value (& copy so can paste for subsequent ones).

Rather time-consuming for the 83 contacts I still have left to change all to
"New Zealand". I'd rather change a selected group , or select all and change
them then change a few non-NZ entries to their correct value.

Try using a group by view - customize it for by country and drag contacts to
the NZ group.

Have you tried an Export to Excel and use Find and Replace?

So simple! Works a treat. Thanks.

Do you happen to know how I can change the default country/region to NZ?

That should be a windows setting - but I forget if it's language or another
setting that determines your country. See if you have NZ selected in the
regional and language settings - beginning with the first tab.

Had checked that .. NZ is selected. Just tried creating a new contact to
verify ... it doesn'y select NZ as default despite NZ being in Regional
Settings.
