Contacts & Customized View using birthday

By creating a customized View in Contacts in order to show only contacts containing a birthday, I used to select the birthday criteria with any of the offered options but no entry is shown. I'm using a German version. I also checked several adjustments in the apple menu (different date settings), as proposed in earlier forum articles, with no success. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I used to select the birthday criteria with any of the offered options but no
entry is shown.

When in the Address Book view, under View in the Menu bar, select Columns
and make sure Birthday is checked.

Now click on the column header Birthday and you should see all entries that
have a birthday sorted together.

Does this help?

Thanks so far, that is understood.

Here the problem a little bit more in detail:
1.) enter the birthday
2.) Create a new search in contacts just looking for all contacts with birthday not empty (e.g. the "any date" option)
3.) Result: no results!

I definitely may find the birthday in the calendar view whenever it was activated, no doubt.

By the way: when I imported the contacts from E2004 into E2008, this search function worked so far . Right after activating the zodiac sign box, the contact disappeared from the list.

Thanks for taking care!

I get results using "any date."

Can you explain activate the zodiac sign box? I might be having a slow day,
but this isn't ringing any bells for me. It could be this is a bug. What
happens if you deactivate?
