Contacts Export to Excel does not work

When I try to export contacts from Outlook 2003 to Excel, the window "Select
folder to export from" shows only my email folders, with no option to browse.
I have repaired and updated Outlook and Office in "add/remove programs." No
change. Suggestions?

show the Contacts in a table view (phone list/by category) and then copy and
paste the data to Excel.
