Contacts folders till remain in address book

Hi, i had separate folders in my contacts listed in the
address book, now i have removed the folders but they
still appear in the address book, if i add same folders
then i get new instances in the address book, (forgot to
remove them from the list before deleting the folders),
have looked in MSKB but can't find anything on this, hope
you can help me / brgds

Might add i'm using OL2002, reproduced same prob on OL97
and OL2000

Outlook 2002:
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Remove the duplicate
listings there.

Outlook 97:
Tools menu > Services > Highlight the Outlook Address Book service > Click
Properties > Remove duplicate listings.
