Contacts freeze and error message generated

Hi all,

I have a strange problem. Let me give you some back ground
details first. I am using microsoft outlook 2000 in
workgroup mode to access a Microsoft Exchange server
located at a remote location. My operating system is win2k
and I am using an IBM ThinkPad X31 system.

This is the problem I face. When I log into Outlook and
then click on "New" menu item ( for composing a new
message) . It opens up the New Message window. I then
click on the "To" button. It shows my address book with
my "Global Address List" and "Contacts". I am able to view
all my Global Address List Entries. But when I try
opening "Contacts" from the drop down list, Outlook
freezes for a while and then I get an error message. Then
Outlook shuts down automatically. The error mesage says "
OUTLOOK.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Winodows. You will need to restart the program. An error
log is being created". The error log was created in
drwtsn32.log I could not figure anything from that log.

I tried deleting this profile and re-creating it but no
effect. Other users of the same exchange server on this
computer and this users login have no problems. This
particular user can use the same setup on a different
computer. I tried a different windows login on this
machine and tried this setup for this user. But no effect.
We have an identical ThinkPad X31 on which this user is
facing the same problem. I also removed outlook and re-
installed it.

Any idea on what could be going on. You input would be
highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot.
Neo
