We're using Outlook 2000.
Initially, I had set up our users with Outlook as a
corporate/workgroup edition so they could use an old
version of Microsoft Mail. We have since retired
Microsoft Mail and I would like to change the users' email
configuration to be Internet mail only. The challenge I'm
running into is the little icon for the address book. I'm
able to quite easily import the Personal Address book into
a new folder called Personal Contacts that shows up on the
Outlook Shortcut Bar. However, I'm noticing, and I think
this is really weird, is that the Contacts listing that
shows up under the address book icon on the tool bar is
different than the Contacts folder that shows up in the
Outlook Shortcut bar. One user in particular, has been
making changes to "Contacts" by going through the address
book icon and those changes don't appear to get updated to
the Contacts folder on the Outlook Shortcut bar. In
particular, she's been deleting old email addresses, and
they disappear out of Contacts from the address book but
don't disappear from the Contacts folder on the Outlook
Shortcut bar.
How do I get the Contacts from the address book icon, when
it's configured as Corporate/Workgroup to be the same
Contacts that's on the Outlook Shortcut Bar. I'd really
hate to have manually update her Contacts listing that's
on the Shortcut Bar.
Thanks
