Hi all ...
I posted on here yesterday and received an answer today. But ... I am not
convinced that there is no solution. So let me state my question as simply
as possible.
Using Outlook 2007 (has Business Contact Manager)
Contacts are on the exchanger server under a public folder everyone has
access to.
What I want to do ..
I want to be able to open a contact, select "Activities" on the ribbon and
have the results show any emails, calendar appointments, tasks, or journal
entries that have been linked to that contact. By linking I mean ... in
email, use the contact's email address, calendar, select the contact from the
box at the bottom of the appointment form, same for tasks and journal
The ONLY way I have been able to do this is to right click on the contact
folder in the public folder, select the Activities tab and modify the
settings. The problem is that these settings do not remain once outlook is
closed. So each time I want to see this information I have to reset the
Activities settings.
In Business Contact Manager, I can't even get the Activities settings to
take any options. If I enter New and name it email and then select my mail
folder, I get the error message "The operation failed. An object could not
be found". What the heck does that mean?
There has to be a way ......
