Hello,
I have my contacts listed in alphabetical order. I like it that way. It
should be easy enough to scan the list, from top to bottom, to see who's
available and who's not. But, Communicator automatically rearranges the list
into categories based on their availablility. Rather than having only one
list to scan, I now have two or more lists to scan. If the person changes
their status as I'm scanning the list, looking for their name, it moves to
another list. I now have to scan that other list again.
It's VERY annoying, distracting, and time-consuming to have the contact
names rearrange themselves based on a person's status.
It would be less confusing, less distracting, and more efficient to leave
the alphabetical list static, with only the status icon changing states. I
would only have to scan the list ONE TIME to find a contact and see their
status.
