We have a xp version, and cannot search names in contact
list by last name, only works with first name.

Can anyone assist me with how up set up xp outlook to
search last name.

How did you configure the sorting of the Outlook Address Book?
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
