Contacts locks up

I'm trying to import Names Addresses Phone Numbers and
Email addresses from excel to outlook. I've named the
ranges but the only time it was sucessful I only got the
first names (no additional information) . Now it won't
import any data it just locks up????

Is there another way to get this data from an excel
spreadsheet into contacts in outlook?
