Contacts Lost in DL

I'm using Outlook 2000. My dept has a global distribution
list that is owned by one staff member. Prior to a change
in ownership of the list, there were 401 contacts. After
the change in ownership (completed by IT), the contact
list drop to 307. IT was unable to explain the loss of 94
contacts. How can the owner of the list copy all contacts
of the list and paste to a spreadsheet? We would like to
be able to accomplish this in order to monitor the
distribution list for future problems. Thank you in
