Contacts not visible from emails

I have Outlook 2003 installed on my machine. I have about
100 contacts. They are fully functional from the Contacts
section of Outlook. However, if I click the "To..."
button in an email, no contacts are visible. The "Show
names from the:" drop down list is empty. This also means
that typing a contact's name in the To: text box doesn't
work.

Has anyone encountered this? Any ideas what I should do
to get Outlook email to recognize Outlook contacts?

Thanks,
Branton
