composing emails from second profile.

hello russ & vince-
to be more specific, i installed outlook 2007. i followed the directions for
installing the address book, but -- i think vince is right -- somehow i seem
to have two address books & the one that is linked to the second profile is
obsolete. how do i link the address book that is currently linked to the
first profile -- so that it appears for the second profile.

thanks

What do you mean by "uploading Outlook 2007?"
State how you configured the Outlook Address Book in the second profile. Had
you configured it correctly, your Contacts would appear. If you don't know
how, read the Help files or KB:

hi, vince-
how can i copy one address book into another? i don't know what/where a
"personal folder is"

You can copy/paste contacts from one folder into another. Address books are
just another view of a contact folder. Is your data on an Exchange Server?
I'm guessing not, in which case it's most likely in a Personal Folder (PST)
file on your computer.

hi, vince-

right, it's not on a server -- so how do i copy from one profile to another?

thanks

thanks, vince & russ-

i tried clicking & dragging, but it didn't work for me.

i ended up calling microsoft support (since you get first 90 days free) --
in case anyone else has this problem -- with their help i was able to do it
through the "import/export" function starting with the first profile where
the contacts were correct -- import/export-- export - with commas, etc, then
saving it on the desktop -- then going to the second profile & going thru
import/export -- import, etc.

thanks for your help anyway!

You got bad advice. Import/export is a decidedly poor way to transfer
Outlook data. Everyone knows that but Microsoft. Since you obviously had
access to both data files, you should simply copy and paste from one to
another. Otherwise you will lose or misplace data.
