Contacts Outlook 2002

When I type a contact's name on the "To" line prior to sending an e-mail, it
does not recognize any names. I need to open "Contacts" by clicking on the
"To" button. The has been a recent occurance. Heretofore it worked as it
should.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to correct this small problem?

Thanks

State what you changed just before "heretofore." Outlook doesn't just stop
doing autocompletion by itself or for no reason. Make sure you still have
the "Suggest Names..." feature enabled.

To my knowledge, I changed nothing. The "suggest names" feature is enabled
and was enabled for the entire period. I have been using Outlook for 3- plus
years. This is the first time this has happened. Any other thoughts? Thanks
for your continued help.

Some antivirus programs have been known to set the autocompletion cache (NK2
file) to read only. See if that's happened.
