contacts subfolders

When I click on the "to" button when writing or
forwarding a message, subfolders in my adress book do not
appear in the drop down list. When I open Contacts from
the Outlooks shortcut list, they all appear.

I've recently upgraded the operating system from ME to XP
and the Office suite from 2000 to XP. never had this
problem before the upgrade.

Have you enabled the subfolders as email address books?
R click each folder > Properties > Outlook Address Book Tab
