Contacts - Where are they stored?

I recently had to copy my hard drive contents to a
friends pc because i dropped my laptop and broke it:-(

I have managed to get all my files back on to my new pc
but i would like to get all my mail addresses back. How
can i do this? I assume all the adresses were stored in
a file somewhere that i can just copy to my new pc?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
