When receiving a contact by e mail, the file is saved as
an address entry and not as a vcard or contact. How can I

You are receiving a Contact in what format and with what Outlook version?
Outlook cannot create an address book entry without creating a Contact. It
has no separate address book in which to create such an entry.

The contact is transferred by e mail to my computer
office 2000 (version 9.0.0.3821), and when opened it
appears as an address entry (as file attachment)and can
only be saved as an address book entry and cannot be
saved as a contact. The format is different. Hope this is
clear.

Thanks

If you give me a personal e mail address I will send you
an attachment showing the two examples of what I am
trying to say.
Cannot send to your e mail as it is blocked. Sorry to be
a nuisance.

It is not clear.
As I said, you cannot have an "address book" entry that is not a Contact
since Outlook has no address book. Describe why you think you do. State the
mail support mode you are using, please. State the format of the attachment
you are receiving.
