I am using Microsoft Outlook 2000 - I had a crash and
reloaded- - How do I get my old contacts reloaded as
well... I still have the old outlook.pst but when I try
to import it - The old adresses in contact do not show up
in the contact file. I need help. I don't have the
addresses as hard copy... They are not available to me at
all unless I call everyone... way too much work. please
help...

Don't import. Open the old PST file. Does it contain your Contacts?

No, it does not show the contacts I used to have. It
opens the new contact folder. it seems as if Outlook is
ignoring the old file and only recognises the new one. I
have also tried doing a search *.pst and the search only
finds the one file which seems to be the old file???
Yet, seems to me as if it should find at least two .pst
files. Any more ideas of what I could try to do...
I know for a fact that this morning I was fiddling with
my compute... I had a draft file which had a .pst file as
a attachment then when I opened it, it showed all the old
addresses I used to have... Can't get it to do that
anymore... this file (old .pst file) shows as being 672
kb so there has to be a lot of info into it... How do I
get it out? That is the question? :)

Hey,
Eureka!
I did a search again... and noticed that the search was
not set for hidden file so I did set it to show hidden
files. I found a file named, mailbox.pst... found it
using the file open in Microsoft Outlook and "I have all
the old addresses". Your idea of file open and my search
did the trick... Thank you for your help.
