When I write an email outlook automatically used to bring over the email
address of the person for whom I was typing the name in the "To" section of
the email message.
Now it does not for some reason.

Can you help?

I use outlook 2007.

Only the same one posted here hundreds of times. Autocompletion is not a
robust or reliable feature. Outlook will lose its connection to its cache in
a number of ways, most often because it is not exiting completely and not
writing to the file. Make sure you run no add-ins or sync software that
might hold Outlook open. To restore the function, create a new Outlook
profile. If you're lucky you'll be able to migrate your old cache to the new
profile following directions here:
