Contents of mail folders gone - Disaster!

Eeek, moved a folder called "Upcoming Events" from one account to my
new Outlook Exchange account. The individual directories are there but
the actual emails within are missing.

Please help me find them?

Thanks in advance,
Jo

how did you move them?

are you sure you're not looking at a filtered view of that folder?

Hi Judy, thanks for replying.

I dragged and dropped them. It took a long time and it froze and I may
have stopped and re-started, then I started the the process again.

When I do a Google desktop search I can find the actual emails and the
"view in Outlook" option shows them but I'm conscious that a future
index may remove them.

Is the new acct cached mode exchange? Does 'view in outlook' show you which
folder they are in?

if cached mode - do you have web access to the acct? If so verify they are
on the server then right click on the folder in outlook and clear offline
files.

Hi Diane, yes it's in cached mode. The folders are on the server but
as in Outlook, they are empty of actual content.
