Contents page isn't picking up inserted pages

Help me, please.

I have a lengthy document that is set up in portrait
orientation. It has a contents page.

I had to insert two pages into the document containing
numerical charts. Since the charts were extremely
horizontal, I inserted the additional pages as separate
sections and altered the page setup to landscape for
these pages only.

Then I added page numbers. All went well until I created
the contents page. The two pages I added, although they
have headings in the right style, are not being
recognized and added to the contents page.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hi Alan

Are the headings on the landscape pages in text boxes, perhaps? If so, they
will not be picked up by the TOC (covert text box to frame for a quick fix).

Hi Margaret. Thanks for the suggestion. You are exactly
right. I installed the headings in text boxes. Can you
tell me how to convert the textbox to a frame?

In the Format Text Box dialog, on the Text Box tab, there should be a button
for "Convert to Frame..." You'll get a warning message, which you can
ignore. You may have to do a bit of cleanup on the frame formatting
(removing the border for starters, IIRC).
