Context Sensitive Reference

John Smith

I have come across a document in which there is a reference number
attached to one of the words as a super script. At the bottom of the
page there is an explanation of the word. When I move the cursor over
the actual word (with the reference number), MS Word displays the
explanation of the word as tooltip (yellow information box).

I am intrigued and I want to use this feature for my own documents. I
don't know what exactly the feature is called and therefore could not
find any information on it. I have tried comments field and balloon
help but they are quite different to what I have described.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
