Continuous Form - new records overwrite data in existing records

I have a continuous form. The record has a lookup field
(combo box) and certain fields becoming visible or not
depending on what is chosen from the lookup field.

All's well when I enter the first record but subsequent
records create problems where all previous field's
visible/invisbible field selections get replaced by ones
of the current record. The values for previous records do
get saved in the database.

I presume this is a continuos form if so are you sure the filed is not an
unbound field. i.e the controlsource is correctly set to the field in your
forms record source.
