Continuous Forms question

I have a form whose Default View is specified to be Continous Forms. In the
detail section I have a row of edit controls, some of which are bound to a
datasource and some of which are not. One of the controls is a combo box
that is populated with all of the unique values from one of the fields in a
table. The weird ( to me, at least!) thing that I am seeing happen is that,
when I select a value (at runtime) in the combo box shown with the first
record, the selected value all of a sudden appears in the associated combos
for all of the other records being displayed. Why is this and how can I get
around it?
