Some ideas:

If you use newsgroups make sure you set your email address to something like

(e-mail address removed)

To do this, if you use Outlook Express as your newsreader, right click on a
root newsgroup, select Properties, and change the email address there to
what I just suggested. Do this for each root newsgroup. Newsgroups is
where spammers get a lot of addresses.

Go to the following site and download Spybot Search & Destroy. It is free.
Run it on your pc and do it about once per week. It cleans out spyware.

Earthlink has spam blockers. Do you have it turned on?

Also, you can get much better blocking (probably 100% effective) by signing
up with http://www.spamrival.com/ It is $40 per year. Not a bad price.

DO NOT REPLY TO SPAM MAIL even to tell them to take you off the list. Once
you do, then they know they have a real email address and send you MORE!

Hope these ideas help.
