Continuous loop animated gif in Powerpoint 2007

The animated gif that I inserted in Powerpoint 2007 loops continuously
and I am not able to change that (it shouldn't do that!!).
I already checked if I made a mistake in the settings while making it
and I didn't. I checked the gif in in adobe photoshop internet
explorer, and Powerpoint 2003 and then the animation loops only once,
so it seems the problem occurs only in the 2007 version. Is this a bug
in 2007 or is there a simple solution for this problem? Who can help
me out?

PowerPoint does strange things with gifs depending on the version of PPT.

It doesn't look at 2007 but I find that gifs all loop in 2007. You might
want to set a long time (4 mins?) for the last frame delay and see if that
works for you.
