Hi tmr;
What you haven't disclosed is what's preventing you from doing so
Seriously, If we don't know what you're doing & what its result is it's
rather hard to offer any constructive suggestions. All I can suggest is the
basic methodology:
Make sure you have the Toolbox displayed. There is a 'Star" button in its
top row for Custom Animation -- if you select Slide Show> Custom Animation
it will automatically be selected & display for you.
Select the object of choice then click the Add Entrance Effect button &
select the Entrance Effect you want to apply. [You can also apply Emphasis,
Exit & Animated Path effects to the same object.] Don't overlook the other
groups of settings at the bottom of the palette in the Toolbox for More
Options, Timing, & Text Animations.
If you apply an Effect to an object with multiple components you can click
the right-pointing triangle adjacent to its listing in the palette to expand
the list of components (i.e., each bulleted item in a bulleted list). Then
apply different Effects and/or settings to each element by selecting it in
the list. You can also rearrange the order in which the Effects occur by
selecting its listing then using the Up/Down arrows below the list.
For more info have a look in PPT Help & search using the keywords: custom
animation. There is plenty of explanation there in the various topics.
