how do i display multiple lines in the control tips text
properties? At the moment i only get one single line
across the screen.

Where you want the line to break, use Shift-Enter. In the properties
box you will only see one of the partial lines at a time but the arrow
keys will let you scroll throught them.

Hi N,

With the cursor in the tooltip property, hit Shift-F2 to zoom to the
property box. Now use Ctl-Enter to put Line breaks where you want them.
