Control toolbox won't go away in my Word 2k docs

Somehow I've recently managed to get the Control Toolbox to appear everytime
I open a doc. I've checked the MS KB but most of the articles have to do
with the Toolbox disappearing. I wish...

Usually, this means that
- the files (or their templates) contain macros, or
- the files contain ActiveX controls (from the Control toolbox) AND
- your macro security level is set to "High"

I recall there's also another problem that can cause the control toolbox to
appear, but I can't seem to turn up the relevant Knowledge Base article,
today. You might try searching microsoft.com for something like: Word
document open Control Toolbox and see if you can turn it up.

Hi Karl,

To add to Cindy's reply, it can also occur if
you have Smart Tag related addins trying to load
while the security level is set to high for macros.
