Controlling animation sequence

USing Win2k, PPt 2k

AHve inserted am animated graphic from online clips as the first animation
on a slide. Have two additional items items to appear AFTER the animation, a
text box and a sound file. I would like both of these to activate on mouse
click. However they both activate automatically, regardless options set in
order and timings tab of the custom animation dialog box. Used "on Mouse
Click" and automatically after 5 seconds, 10 seconds and 15 seconds, all with
same result. Both text box and sound file are set to "appear".

Is this normal behaviour when using animated graphics in PPT 2000? Any
suggestions short of duplicating the slide, and removing the text box and
sound file from the 1st one to appear?

Thanks for your ideas!

Do you have the presentation set to Kiosk? Or the slide set to auto advance
on time?

Thanks for your response, Bill.

NO to KIOSK , but yes to auto advance. I discovered the transition setting
had been set to a very short time frame. A little surprise, becasue I do not
set transitions until the last step of my design process.

NOt sure how the trasition timing arrived at 2.4 seconds, but all is well now.

Again, thanks
