Is there any way to control the symbols that OneNote (or Word for that
matter) considers eligible for breaking lines? For example, hyphens are
obvious characters to break a line after, but other characters may be
more debatable. In some case, I may want a line break after a slash (/),
em-dash or elipsis, but not after a right-bracket (]). In FrameMaker,
there is away to edit the set of characters after which lines can break.
Of course, I can always put in a manual return after a symbol after which
I want a break or before a word I want kept together, but this can mess
things up if the text is later changed. For example, I use brackets in
quoted text to show changes. I don't want something like "[T]he" to break
after the 'T'. I want the whole thing to stay together.
This problem is particularly coming up when I'm using OneNote, but I've
also experienced this problem in Word. I know that OneNote is
intentionally minimal, but is there at least a way to do this in Word?
Thanks!
