Controlling redirected printer port via API

I'm trying to change the program arguments on a redirected printer port so I
can control the file name of the output via VB code. This way, a number of
pdf reports can be created (via Redmon/ghostscript) at once. Does anyone
know if this can be accomplished through an API call and if so, how?
