Controlling results from search box

I would like to add a search box to my website which will allow visitors to
enter a city name. When they click submit, I would like the new webpage to
appear, not just a list of results. Obviously, I would need to have the name
of the specific webpage that I want to appear be the city name. Is there
anyway to do this? All of the search software companies I have contacted
tell me that they can only produce a list of results, and not a particular
page. One said that I needed a script to do this. Any advice and help
pointing me in the right direction would be GREATLY appreciated!

You would have to create a database driven application, which will be based on what scripting
language and database is supported by your web host and your knowledge/skill to create the
application using the support language/database.

Thomas,
Can you please give me a little bit more information? Can I use MS Access
to create such a database? How would I link, or connect, or imbed that
database into the website? What would be the trigger to make the database
open the correct page? If this is too much to respond to, are there
knowledge base articles or white papers or help screens you could direct me
to? I'm a great independent study!
Thank you very much.

You can try using the FP database components, see help, however your site must be hosted on Windows
IIS web server.

Thomas,
Thank you for the kind direction. I will check with my host to be sure we
are using the correct server. I will search the help screens.
Thanks again,
---Diana
