Controlling Word

E

Ed Richard

I am looking for a way to display Word documents in a control, and it would
be nice if we had the whole Word-object model available to us. But if there
are other ways, any hints/thoughts are welcome.

Basically what I would like to start out with is an explorer with list of
filenames, and be able to view the docs in a pane. It would be nice to
nitially display them read-only and switch to Edit-mode when required, but
the read-only part is important.

I've tried using IE as a control and navigate to the file-path but I don't
see how I can get any control over the embedded document or Word itself.

Thanks for any help,
Ed Richard

Hi Ed,

No idea if it's appropriate, but you might look at the information for
"Framer" in the Knowledge Base on microsoft.com
